Snowbird in Utah, is a top ski resort destination that perfectly blends thrilling adventure with stunning natural beauty, located in the heart of the Wasatch Mountains. Located roughly 47 kilometres from Salt Lake City making Snowbird easily accessible and a favourite amongst both locals and international visitors alike. This iconic resort is renowned for its deep powder, diverse terrain and stunning mountain views. 

 

Snowbird has an impressive array of lifts and gondolas with 14 lifts including the state-of-the-art Aerial Tram, that rises 2,900 vertical feet to the 11,000 foot summit of Hidden Peak. The network of lifts gives skiers and snowboarders access to over 2,500 acres of skiable terrain and the resort has a total 169 runs, ensuring that everyone can find their perfect slope from beginners all the way to advanced skiers and boarders. Snowbird is particularly famed for its challenging terrain, with steep chutes, wide-open bowls and exhilarating tree runs that attract thrill-seekers from around the world. 

 

Away from the slopes, Snowbird's apres-ski scene is vibrant and welcoming. Visitors can unwind at one of the resort's intimate bars like the Tram Club or Aerie Lounge, where live music and a laid-back atmosphere that creates a perfect ending to any day. Eating at Snowbird is excellent with options ranging from casual fare at The Forklife to dine dining at The Aerie, which features panoramic mountain views and a creative, locally sourced menu. Snowbird's nightlife is more subdued than other resorts, with the focus being on more intimate settings rather than large parties.

The closest airport is Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), about 40 minutes away by car. Snowbird's proximity to SLC makes it a quick and convenient destination.

By Train

Snowbird is not accessible by train. However, travelers can take Amtrak to Salt Lake City and then use a shuttle, bus, or rental car to reach the resort.

By Car

Snowbird is a 40-minute drive from Salt Lake City along Little Cottonwood Canyon Road, a scenic route that offers a direct path to the resort.

By Bus
