Overview

One of the most recognisable landmarks in the Hakuba area is the Olympic Ski Jumping Stadium. The Hakuba Ski Jumping Stadium was home to 1998 Nagano Winter Olympic Ski jumping events. The venue still regularly holds world level competitions and is open to visitors who would like to get up close to the mammoth 90 metre and 120 metre jumps.

For a small fee, visitors can take the chair lift and elevator to the top of both jumps. See the breathtaking views and terrifying drop the pros see every time they line up for a jump.

The Ski Jumping Stadium is located a short walk from the Nakiyama lift bus stop, which is part of the Happo One loop. From Hakuba Station, it’s about a 5 minute taxi ride.
