Overview
Shiga Kogen Ski resort area is not home to a large variety of bars and restaurants so if you are after a different dining experience every night. The only place to stay in Shiga Kogen is in the Ichinose area. Ichinose has approx 25 hotels and some of these include bars and restaurants that are open to the public.
There is a nice Beer, wine and Whisky bar at Chalet Shiga called the Teppa Room. Its open nightly and specialises in Shiga Kogen Beer with many varieties on tap to try, there are two Japanese Izzakayas in Ichinose, one in Hotel Dairaku and the other in Shiga Kogen Olympic Hotel , as well as a Nepalese restaurant at Hotel Japan Shiga and a Shabu Shabu Restaurant available on the ground floor of Villa Ichinose.
You can also book a nightly meal in your hotel, if its not included in your Japan Powder Package check with the hotel’s reception on when you need to book this to ensure the hotel can fit you in.
